CONTEST:

12 Images will be chosen from artwork submitted or postmarked before September 1st, 2012 to appear in our 2013 CPM Calendar.

We will ask each winning artist to submit a short bio which will appear with your artwork on the month that your work is placed. Your winning piece, bio, and website link (if applicable) will also be displayed on our website and featured in the COLORED PENCIL Magazine.
RULES AND ELIGIBILITY:

  • Online Image Submissions should be .jpg sent at 72 ppi (in RGB color mode, do not convert to CMYK)
  • Chosen entries will be required to provide 300 ppi image for print
  • Artwork must be at least 80% colored pencil
  • Entries per artist are not limited
  • Artwork must be in or cropped to a Landscape format (horizontal)
  • All Artwork must be original and drawn from original reference material.
  • Entrants must be 18 years or older
  • Submissions must not contain nudity or violence and must be for general audiences
  • Contest open to anyone in the world that meets these requirements

FEES:

All entries are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. Payment(s) may be made online or you may print out the entry form here to send a check, money order or credit card payment (credit card number & signature required). All returned checks are subject to a $20 return check fee (US funds). All credit cards will be charged upon receipt of entry form. All payments are non-refundable.

ENTRIES:

All entries must be submitted as digital JPEG files. Entries may be uploaded online or sent to us on disk.

NOTIFICATION:

All winners will be notified by October 1st, 2012. Winners list will be announced on our site and in the November 2012 issue.

JUDGING:

Entries will be judged by best-selling author, artist, and owner of BrushandPencil.com online colored pencil painting school, Alyona Nickelsen.
